IMLAY CITY SUMMER FEST PARADE
Rules & Guidelines
To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and family-friendly event for all, please review and follow the guidelines below:
GENERAL RULES
All entries must be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages
Parade officials reserve the right to approve or deny any entry
All participants must follow instructions from parade staff and law enforcement
No alcohol or illegal substances permitted
Drivers must be licensed, alert, and operate vehicles safely at all times
Maintain a safe distance between entries (no stopping along the route unless directed)
All entries must keep forward motion unless otherwise instructed
Candy and giveaways must be handed out
Participants must remain with their entry throughout the parade route
All animals must be properly controlled and cleaned up after
POLITICAL ENTRY GUIDELINES
To maintain a positive, community-focused atmosphere:
All political entries must pre-register and pay a $100 entry fee
Political entries are welcome but must remain respectful and non-disruptive
No loud campaigning (no shouting slogans, chanting, or aggressive promotion)
Amplified sound must be kept at a moderate, respectful level
Participants may hand out literature and promotional items (swag)
Messaging must remain positive in nature (no negative or opposing campaign messaging)
Parade officials reserve the right to remove any entry not complying with these guidelines
SAFETY & LIABILITY
Participation is at your own risk
The Imlay City Summer Fest Committee is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or lost/stolen items
All participants agree to follow local laws and safety regulations
PARADE COMMITTEE RIGHTS
The committee reserves the right to limit the number of entries
Line-up positions are assigned at the discretion of the committee
Failure to follow rules may result in removal from the parade and/or exclusion from future events
Imlay City Summer Fest Vendor Application Submission Instructions
Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor at Imlay City Summer Fest! Please follow the steps below to complete and submit your application.
Step 1 - Review Event Details
Before applying, confirm your availability for event dates and times:
Saturday, August 8 | 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Sunday, August 9 | 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Vendor fee: $50 for both days.
Step 2 - Complete Vendor Information
Fill out all required contact details, including:
Business name
Contact name
Email and phone
Mailing address
Incomplete applications may not be considered.
Step 3 - Describe What You Will Sell
Provide a brief description of your products or items. This helps organizers ensure a balanced vendor selection.
Step 4 - Complete Required Section (If Applicable)
Food Vendors must also:
Select food types offered
Indicate if food is prepared on-site
Confirm required permits/licenses
Artisan Vendors must also:
Confirm items are handmade or artist-created
Explain if items are not handmade
Step 5 - Choose Booth Size
Select your requested booth size (standard 10'x10' or other).
Step 6 - Review Vendor Agreement
By signing, you agree that:
Acceptance is not guaranteed
You are responsible for setup, teardown, and merchandise
You must follow all rules and regulations
Organizers are not liable for lost or damaged items
Sign and date the application.
Step 7 - Submit Your Application
Return your completed application by the stated deadline.
